CBE says 1st quarter digital transaction surpasses 1 trillion Birr

Addis Ababa, October 28, 2023 (FBC) – The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) today confirmed that its digital financial transaction has surpassed the 1.3 trillion Birr mark in the first quarter of the current Ethiopian financial year.

The Bank is reviewing the 2016 E.C (2023/24) fiscal year first quarter performance.

As stated in the conference, encouraging performance of digital banking services has been recorded in the last three months of the current Ethiopian financial year.

CBE’s data indicates that its digital transaction has reached more than 1.3 trillion Birr through more than 245 million financial transactions made via the bank’s various digital platform options.
