CBE donates 10m birr to fight COVID-19

Addis Ababa, March 19, 2020 (FBC) – The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has donated 10 million birr to the Ministry of Health to fight coronavirus (COVID-19).

Ethiopia now has six confirmed cases of coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health, four of them are now in good condition with no symptoms.

The remaining two patients have mild to moderate symptoms and they are under frequent follow up, it added.

The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has now reached 222,642, according to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University.

About 9,115 people died due to the virus.

China still has the highest number of confirmed cases (81,154), while Italy has the second highest with 31,713.
