Canadian Embassy, Harari region agree to cooperate on water dev’t, tourism
Addis Ababa, May 2, 2015 (FBC) – Canadian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Stéphane Jobin discussed with Chief Administrator of Harari Regional State, Ordin Bedri on how to enhance cooperation between the embassy and the region in various areas.
Ordin Bedri thanked the Canadian Ambassador for visiting the UNESCO- inscribed fortified historic city of Harar he described as a place of harmony, peace and love.
Harar holds several tourist attraction sites including the fortified historic Jugol town which is inscribed by the UNESCO as a world heritage, Ordin said.
The two have further agreed to cooperate in areas of clean water development, tourism and heritage conservation, among others, according to Harari Region Communication Bureau.
