Canadian Amb, Afar Regional State President discuss on how to enhance humanitarian operation

Addis Ababa, December 14, 2021 (FBC) – Ambassador of Canada to Ethiopia, Djibouti and African Union, Stephane Jobin discussed with President of the Afar Regional State Awol Arba on how to scale up humanitarian operation in the region.

The Ambassador jointly with the UN humanitarian team observed relief operation in Afar and assessed humanitarian need in the region.

Ambassador Stephane Jobin met with Regional President Awol Arba, regional government officials, elders and community representatives and discussed on ways of enhancing humanitarian assistance to Afar populations affected by the conflict. The team led by the ambassador visited Wake 50 IDP camp in Afar region.
