Canada reaffirms commitment in supporting AUC’s STYIP, Agenda 2063

Addis Ababa, May 22, 2023 (FBC) – Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Monique Nsanzabaganwa, met with Minister of International Development of Canada Harjit Singh Sajjan.

During the meeting the two sides have discussed on wide-ranging issues of common engagements.

Canada’s Minister of International Development, Harjit Singh Sajjan, reaffirmed his country’s continued support to the AUC’s work to secure food security, peace and security, the nexus of trade and development while continuing to harness diaspora links with the continent as the AUC moves towards the Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (STYIP) of Agenda 2063.

It is to be recall earlier today Minister of International Development of Canada Harjit Singh Sajjan, met and discusses with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen.

Among others, the two sides discussed ways of further enhancing development cooperation between Ethiopia and Canada against the backdrop of strong, longstanding ties.
