Brazil death toll tops 40,000

Addis Ababa, June 12, 2020 (FBC) -The number of virus-related deaths in Brazil now stands at 40,919, after another 1,239 over the past 24 hours.

More than 30,000 new confirmed cases were registered, taking the total to 802,828 – second only to the United States’ more than two million.

Many experts warn Brazil’s true numbers could be far greater – due to a lack of widespread testing, according to BBC.
