Both Black Boxes of Il-76 shot down in Belgorod Region found – Emergency services

MOSCOW, January 25 (Sputnik) – Both black boxes of the Russian Il-76 military transport aircraft that was shot down were found at the crash site in the Belgorod Region, the emergency services told Sputnik on Thursday.

The plane with 65 Ukrainian prisoners being transported for exchange, six crew members and three accompanying persons crashed in the Belgorod Region on Wednesday, killing all people on board. The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Ukrainian forces downed the plane.

“Both black boxes were discovered — a flight data recorder and a voice recorder,” the emergency services said, adding that they were handed over to investigators.
