Benishangul Regional State Council lifts immunity of 4 members

Addis Ababa, January 29, 2020 (FBC) –In an emergency session held this morning, the Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Council has lifted the immunity from prosecution of its 4 members.

The Council revoked the immunity of the following four members on suspicion of having links with security problem in Metekel zone.

1. Adigo Amsaya

2. Shiferaw Chelibo

3. Girma Meni

4. Arega Balbid

Ahead of the 5th year 6th emergency session, members of the Council held a moment of silence to pay tribute to victims of the recent attack in Metekel zone.
