Bahir Dar Industrial Park creates market access for 10,000 farmers

Addis Ababa, October 28, 2024 (FBC) – Bahir Dar Industrial Park has made significant strides in benefiting local youth, agricultural investors, and farmers in the region.

Zemen Junedin, Deputy Head of the Promotion and Marketing Division at the Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC), reported that Nirvana, an Indian agroprocessing company operating in the park, has established a market link for 10,000 soya bean farmers, enabling them to supply their products directly to the factory.

He further highlighted that another company specializing in transformer production has created job opportunities for hundreds of young people in the area.

Zemen emphasized that IPDC is in the process of enhancing modern infrastructure and facilities within the park to foster a more favorable environment for investors.
