Authority, Institute sign MoU to implement integrated transport management system

Addis Ababa, March 9, 2020 (FBC) –The Federal Transport Authority and the Technology and Innovation Institute have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly implement an integrated transport management system.

The MoU was signed today by Abdisa Yadeta, Director General of the Authority and Sandokan Debebe, Director General of Institute and Dagmawit Mogess, Minister of Transport, and Dr Abrham Belay, Minister of Innovation and Technology.

In her remarks, Dagmawit said integrated transport management system has a great role to expand import/export business, address bad governance in transportation sector and modernize logistics services.

Dagmawit said her office will provide the necessary assistance for the implementation of the plan.

Dr Abrham said the agreement will contribute a lot for the economy of the country, beyond improving the transportation service.
