Authority inks agreement to build roads worth 25.8B Birr

Addis Ababa, June 11, 2020 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Roads Authority has signed an agreement with various contractors to embark on construction of 15 roads with an outlay of over 25.8 billion Birr.

The asphalt concrete roads to be built as per the agreement have 1,022 Kilo Meters long, according to the Authority.

Seven of the total eleven contractors signed the agreement with the authority are homegrown enterprises, it is said on the occasion.

The construction of the road is said to be completed within one to four years duration, the authority disclosed.
