AUC Chairperson commends the ministerial meeting on GERD

Addis Ababa, October 28, 2020 (FBC) – Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat said that yesterday’s session of the Ministerial Meeting on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) was very productive.

The Chairperson attended the virtual meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Ministers of Water Affairs of Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan resumed yesterday under the leadership of Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Republic of South Africa and AU Executive Council.

The virtual negotiation among the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Water Affairs of Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt over the filling and operation of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam commenced Yesterday.
