Athlete Feyisa Lelisa accepts PM Abiy’s call, decides to join frontline

Addis Ababa, November 23, 2021 (FBC) – The renowned Ethiopian long-distance runner Feyisa Lelisa affirmed commitment on Tuesday to join the ongoing survival campaign aimed at defending sovereignty of Ethiopia.

The announcement from Athlete Feyisa came hours after Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed called on all Ethiopians in particular and the black people at large to firmly stand with the nation.

“Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has made a right decision. And, I am ready to draw inspirations from gallantry of my forefathers and repeat what they did in the Battle of Adwa at frontline to save my country” Feyisa said.
