Asian ambassadors briefed on curren national, regional issues

Addis Ababa, February 14, 2021 (FBC) – State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Redwan Hussien yesterday provided a briefing to resident ambassadors and diplomats of Asian countries on the current situations in Ethiopia.

The discussion also covered regional issues and areas of cooperation between Ethiopia and the Asian countries.

The State Minister gave explanation to the ambassadors about Ethio-Sudan border issue, Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) talks, rehabilitation and delivery of humanitarian assistance in Tigray regional state.

Regarding Tigray, he said the Government has intensified its efforts to bring perpetrators to justice to ensure rule of law, besides providing humanitarian assistance to those in need and restoring infrastructure damaged by TPLF.

He said the false information being released on socal media regarding Tigray are baseless and do not reflect the reality on the ground.

The ambassadors and diplomats expressed their commitment to work together  with the Government of Ethiopia to support the Tigray.
