ARRA, JCC sign MoU on areas of inclusion of refugees, returnees
Addis Ababa, September 27, 2021 (FBC) – Agency for Refugees and Returnees Affairs (ARRA) and Job Creation Commission (JCC) have signed an agreement on areas of inclusion of refugees, returnees and host communities on national job creation plans and initiatives.
The MoU was signed by Tesfahun Gobezay, Director General of ARRA and Nigussu Tilahun, JCC Commissioner.
According to ARRA, the agreement is a form of mutual commitment in complementing each other’s duties and function in the perspective of governmental duties and national development, in particular inclusion of refugees, returnees, and host communities in the national jobs creation plan and initiatives.
Agreement is also signed crucial to formalize the mutual interaction and strengthens the relationship between ARRA and JCC at the strategic and working level, focusing on the joint undertakings to develop, implement and monitor special projects that aims to create better, decent and quality employment opportunities.
It will also help to enhancing individual performances in line with their duties and authorities to highly benefit people of concern (POC).
The major thrust of the MoU is to promote inclusion of the POC in the national jobs creation plan and initiatives and also create mutually beneficial cooperation between the agencies through a joint effort to mobilize resources from within and outside.
