Army Chief of Staff, Japanese Ambassador discuss bilateral issues
Addis Ababa, May 6, 2021 (FBC) – Chief of Staff of the Army, General Birhanu Jula discussed with Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ito Takako on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual concern.
The two explores ways how to forge cooperation between Ethiopia and Japan in international peacekeeping mission.
Saying that the two nations have been enjoying longstanding and strong bilateral relations, Foreign Relations Directorate Director at the Ministry of Defense, Brig-Gen Bulti Tadesse stated Japan and Ethiopia agreed to work collaboratively in peacekeeping mission and technology transfer areas of cooperation.
According to Brig-Gen Bulti Tadesse, Japan has shown commitment to extend humanitarian efforts of Ethiopia in support of rehabilitation efforts in Tigray and other parts of the country.
