Armenia, UAE discuss defense cooperation prospects

MOSCOW, November 14 (Sputnik) – Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan discussed defense cooperation prospects with his UAE counterpart Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi in Dubai on Tuesday, the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

“On November 14, in the framework of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan met with the UAE Minister of State for Defence Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi. The meeting was attended by the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan as well. Issues related to the prospects for developing defence cooperation between RA and UAE were discussed,” the ministry said in a statement.

The sides expressed their readiness to make efforts to develop bilateral cooperation and create a legal basis for it, according to the statement.
