Archbishop His Grace Abune Ermias recounts terrorist TPLF’s brutal acts in Woldia

Addis Ababa, December 24, 2021 (FBC) – Archbishop of North Wollo and Kemise Diocese and member of the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church, His Grace Abune Ermias said that the terrorist TPLF faction killed innocent citizens, gang raped, looted as well as destroyed property in Woldia town.

His Grace Abune Ermias said that the terrorist TPLF has caused innumerable troubles upon residents of Woldia town.

According to Abune Ermias, people in rural areas have been living in a better situation compared with that of the towns, because in rural areas there is food, firewood, water and the like. However, people who were in towns had been exposed to various hurdles due to lack of water, food, medicine, electricity, firewood or others.

“It is difficult to express people’s feelings when they came to me to find solutions to their problems due to the state of starvation in Woldia. The atrocities committed by the terrorist group left many residents in catastrophic situation without any social servie including healht care treatents.

Residents of the town, for their part, told the media that his grace stood with the people of the town that were in dire humanitarian situations by disturbing food, supplies and financial support he mobilized from the business community and other capable segments of the community.

Abune Ermias was overtly excommunicating the soldiers of the terrorist group calling them to stop atrocities without any fear and saved lives of many in a real fatherly and spritual manner, according to residents who were contacted by EPA.
