ANTEX Textile undertaking a $20 million expansion works

Addis Ababa, March 25, 2025 (FMC) – ANTEX Textile Ethiopia Private Limited Company has announced a major expansion project, with an estimated cost of 20 million USD.

The announcement was made this morning during a visit by Mr. Fisseha Yitagesu, the CEO of the Industrial Parks Development Corporation of Ethiopia (IPDC).

Fisseha Yitagesu (PhD) assured ANTEX Textile of his Corporation’s full support to ensure the timely completion of the company’s expansion project.

The project includes the construction of factory sheds and residential quarters for staff, which will significantly boost the company’s export potential, according to IPDC.

Currently, a three-block residential building is being built to accommodate more than 6,000 employees. At present, ANTEX Textile PLC has created over 4,500 job opportunities, and once the expansion is completed, this number will rise to 20,000.
