Addis Ababa, October 3, 2020 (FBC) – The House Women’s Parliamentary Caucus the House of Peoples’ Representatives has donated two million birr to resettle women and Children displaced by natural disasters and man-made conflicts in various zones and woredas of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region.
During the handover, Honorable Abebaye Gezahegn, Chairperson of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus, said that major victims of manmade and natural disasters in various parts of the country are women and children.
She said the Caucus and the House members in general are playing their part in rehabilitating the people affected by disasters as representatives of the community.
The Chairperson added that members of the House of Peoples’ Representatives and Caucus will further strengthen support to the victims through regular monitoring and control activities of the House.
