We would have not been what we are now without Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, October 4, 2021 (FBC) – President of the South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mardayat, while congratulating Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed over the swearing in Ceremony, said Africans would have not been what they are now without Ethiopia.

He lauded the support of governments and people of Ethiopia for independence of Africa. “We don’t want our great mother, Ethiopia to have the challenge we had in South Sudan” the President said.

He recounted support of Ethiopian leaders including Emperor Haileselassie, President Mengistu Hailemariam and Prime Minister Meles Zenawi for the independence of South Sudan.

He also appreciated the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed led current government of Ethiopia for sustaining the country’s support for his country.He reiterated the support of his country Sudan for Ethiopia without any condition in all aspects.

He expressed confidence that Ethiopia will resolve all the circumstances its is facing now with peaceful mechanisms.
