Addis Ababa, December 24, 2020 (FBC) – Council members of Washington D.C. have unanimously approved the “Little Ethiopia” Ceremonial Resolution.
Ethiopian Ambassador to the US, Fitsum Arega has extended gratitude to Mayor of D.C. Muriel Bowser and member of the council Brandon T. Todd for championing the efforts and contributing to the approval.
The ambassador also thanked members of the Ethiopian American Business Community for promoting the initiative.
Member of the D.C. Council Brandon T. Todd said Ethiopia stands a symbol for all African people in their struggle for freedom, dignity and respect.
Ambassador Fitsum tweeted “I believe today’s recognition of “Little Ethiopia” will further bolster and strengthen the social and cultural ties between Addis Ababa and Washington D.C.
