Addis Ababa January 12, 2023 (FBC) – The United States of America is keen on strengthening its economic and investment ties with Ethiopia, said Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, who is on a working visit to Jimma City, was briefed on appealing investment opportunities in the city and its surroundings.
During her visit, Ambassador Jacobson revealed that she observed enticing environment for coffee cultivation in Jimma zone of Oromia region.
She expressed her country’s desire to strengthen ties with Ethiopia in economic and investment schemes.
The envoy said the peace situation in the Oromia region is improving lately, affirming that the US will provide the necessary support.
It is stated that the Jimma American Corner, a public library, closed since the COVID-19 pandemic, will be re-opened by Amb. Jacobson.
