Addis Ababa, March 22, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian peacekeeping forces, stationed in South Sudan under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), have been commended by the Mission commander for their efficacy and unwavering commitment to their responsibilities.
This story came to light subsequent to a meeting between Ambassador of Ethiopia to South Sudan, Nebil Mahdi Abdulah, and the Force Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces in South Sudan, Lieutenant-General Mohan Subramanian, aimed at deliberating on the indispensable role played by Ethiopian peacekeeping forces within the UN’s operations in the Republic of South Sudan.
Lieutenant-General Mohan Subhrman lauded the dedication and valuable contributions of Ethiopian peacekeeping forces in effectively fulfilling their duties, while Ambassador Nebil Mahdi Abdulah reaffirmed Ethiopia’s steadfast dedication to supporting UN peacekeeping operations in South Sudan.
