Addis Ababa, April 25, 2022 (FBC) – United Russia will continue developing relations with African countries. It will make it possible to overcome the consequences of sanctions against Russia, from which African countries suffer as well.
The U.S. and its satellites unleashed a real information and economic war against Russia. To refute misleading information and find new ways to solve the economic problems of Russia due to sanctions helps direct interaction with representatives of Asian and African countries, which are home to 4 billion people who support our country, said Deputy Head of the United Russia International Cooperation Commission Andrey Klimov at a briefing with representatives of African and Asian media on the situation around the Ukrainian crisis of 2014-2022.
According to him, “United Russia” will discuss food, energy and financial security in Africa in the current situation. The party has a special action plan on these issues within the BRICS, and it is being discussed with Beijing and Delhi.
Responding to a question from a Zimbabwean journalist about the economic and food guarantees that Russia is ready to offer African countries, Andrey Klimov said that to ensure food security, African countries must increase pressure on the EU, which has taken a decision to block the supply of food to Africa.
“Russia is one of the largest food suppliers in the world, there is not and will not be a problem of hunger. The EU, neo-colonialists, has banned Russian ships, our railroads and cars from passing through their territory, from using seaports. Now the question is, how do we ensure the transportation of goods? Help us bring them back to reason. Russia’s share of world trade chains is more than a third. If they cut it off, prices will increase two or three times. Bring this to the people of Africa,” Andrei Klimov said.
When asked about the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons Andrey Klimov said that it would be common sense not to use nuclear weapons. According to him, the president of Russia is categorically against the use of nuclear weapons. The only country in the world that has used them is the United States.
“The U.S. tried to prepare a ‘dirty’ bomb on the territory of Ukraine. We now control the nuclear facilities there. If NATO countries try to storm Russia – and many countries have already tried to call for it – our missile and air defense systems will provide complete security. These madmen who want to try to play with us are the problem,” Klimov said.
According to Andrei Klimov, United Russia’s immediate plans include holding an inter-party forum with African countries, similar to the one held last year.
“The forum had a great resonance, it was attended by three dozen African states. We are actively working in the African direction, more than 10 states have special agreements with us or are preparing to sign them,” Andrei Klimov said.
In addition, the party intends to develop contacts with African countries and plans to start this work in the second half of this year. A plan for visits to Africa, Asia and Latin America is being developed.
“United Russia has a program approved by the party leader Vladimir Putin and will do everything possible to strengthen our contacts within its framework. We are working on the issue of briefings with African ambassadors in Moscow and will work to recommend the same kind of briefings in African countries,” Andrei Klimov said.
He also noted that United Russia will continue to develop relations with countries in Africa, Latin America, the SCO, BRICS, ASEAN – the states where most of the world’s population lives.
“Already now the SCO has a total gross product greater than the total gross product of the United States and the EU. If the West continues its self-isolation, a fatal crisis awaits them. Therefore, our work on strengthening contacts such as the SCO, the BRICS, and the Eurasian Economic Union is a very promising story. We are on the right side of history, and the Western agony is sad, but we will do everything we can to end it quickly,” Andrei Klimov concluded.
