Addis Ababa, December 15, 2021 (FBC) – United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Ministry of Industry have signed a 2 Million Euros project agreement to support Integrated Agro-Industrial Parks in Ethiopia.
The 2 Million Euro support aims at Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive economic growth through creation of employment in rural areas.
The project is also intended to assist small scale farming farmers and create market link between small scale agro processing enterprises and partner industries.
Infrastructure and Input Supply Directorate Director at the Ministry of Industry, Shisema Gebreselassie and UNIDO Ethiopia Director Aurelia Patrizia have signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
The three year project is to be finance by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), it is stated on the signing ceremony.
