Addis Ababa, November 21, 2022 (FBC) – The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that convoys with humanitarian aid have arrived in Mekelle, Tigray region.
The vehicles are loaded with life-saving aid, including medicines, materials for rebuilding damaged homes, and medical supplies for the injured.
UNHCR confirmed on social media that more supplies will be delivered to all areas impacted by conflict including in Afar and Amhara.
It is to be recalled that vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid have entered different areas of the Tigray region through the Gondar corridor last week.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) also announced on Monday that humanitarian aid has entered the Tigray region.
This lifesaving support is critical for women and children, according to United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
It was further indicated that additional support will be provided to areas affected by the conflict, including the Afar and Amhara regions.
