Addis Ababa, December 8, 2021 (FBC) – United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has delivered medical and sanitation supplies worth 13.5 Million Birr to displaced people sheltered in Debre Birhan town.
UNICEF Amhara Region Coordinator, Adisu Chane disclosed that the UN Agency has so far distributed medical and sanitation supplies worth 560 Million Birr to IDPs in the region.
He said the supported provide to the IDPs includes lifesaving nutrition and water, sanitation, and hygiene supplies and services.
While receiving the support, North Shewa Zone Health Bureau Head, Gesit Tilahun delivered gratitude to UNICEF calling for continued similar assistance to IDPs in desperate need of humanitarian support.
