Addis Ababa, July 29, 2021 (FBC) – The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Martin Griffiths, today started a six-day visit to Ethiopia.
“It was important to me that I carry out my first official mission as the UN’s humanitarian chief to Ethiopia,” said Griffiths.
During the visit, Griffiths is expected to meet with high-level Government officials and representatives of the humanitarian and donor communities.
He also plans to travel to the Tigray and Amhara regional states, according to a statement issued by The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
