Addis Ababa, July 25, 2024 (FBC) – On the sidelines of the meeting of the BRICS Council of Trade Ministers, which is being held in Moscow, Russia, Trade and Regional Integration Minister of Ethiopia, Kassahun Gofe (PhD) met with the Minister of State for the Export Trade Sector of the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Tehani Ahmed (PhD) on ways of enhancing cooperation between their respective countries.
In thier discussion, the officials explored the ways to increase trade between the two countries.
On the occasion, United Arab Emirates promised to support Ethiopia technically in the process of its accession to membership of the World Trade Organization.
“We have also designed a detailed joint plan. I would like to thank Dr. Tehani and his government for the technical assistance promised,” the Minister said.
