Addis Ababa, April 1, 2021 (FBC) – Tractebel, an international which is providing worldwide consultancy in carbon-neutral energy sector, has opened its new premises in Addis Ababa in the presence of government officials and French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Remi Marechaux.
It is stated on the occasion that the commitment of Ethiopian government in low-carbon energy mix as part of its development plan attracted the company.
In recent years, Tractebel has been involved in several notable low-carbon projects to improve access to energy in the region, including the Gilgel Gibe III hydroelectric project.
Today, Tractebel is working with Ethiopian Electric Power (EPP) to help it realize the strategic Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project which is the largest power plant in Africa, it is stated on the occassion.
