Addis Ababa, October 28, 2021 (FBC) – Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has made 832 schools ‘out of use’ in North Wollo alone says the zone’s Education Department.
North Wollo Zone Education Department Deputy head Sete Tadesse has told AMC that as a result the destruction of the schools over 330 thousand 600 students have failed to begin the 2021/22 academic year.
According to him, since the schools were looted by TPLF it is difficult to start the instruction soon.
Sete reminds that TPLF’s looting and demolishing of food crops in the zone (can add fuel to the fire).
He has also stated that 265 thousand students need to get their meals at schools if they are to attend effectively their education.
