Addis Ababa, December 28, 2022 (FBC) – The implementation of the peace process, humanitarian aid supply, and rebuilding of infrastructures in the past two months has showed significant progress, according to Elias Shikur, the Coordinator of Federal Government Works in Northwest Zone of Tigray regional state.
He said that the activities carried out by the federal government in collaboration with the community have registered significant results.
Residents of the Shire town and its surrounding areas are holding public conference to advise on the results of the peace agreement.
It was stated that the federal government has worked to bring peace and stability, to resume services of health institutions, to enhance humanitarian aid delivery activities, and restore services of public institutions in different areas of Tigray region.
The participants of the conference said that ENDF has demonstrated time and time again its affection to the community in the areas of the region it controlled.
During the discussion, it was mentioned that about 12,000 internally displaced citizens have returned to their homes and normal lives.
It is said that the government facilitated the restoration services of nine hospitals and 13 health institutions in the area. Other services are expected to resume operations.
It was also indicated that 181 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid supplies have entered the zone.
