Addis Ababa, May 9, 2024 (FBC) – A grand symposium is underway in Addis Ababa to review Ethiopia’s 50-year economic, social and political legacy and the challenges transferred to the current generation.
The symposium, which is organized by the Addis Ababa University, has attracted several scholars of various fields and other stakeholders.
Research papers will be presented at the symposium by various prominent scholars, it was learned.
Opening the symposium Addis Ababa University President Samuel Kifle noted that the University has been organizing various discussion forums of this kind focusing on key challenges and opportunities of the country.
ENA reported that the university had organized discussion forums on the importance of National Dialogue, Ethiopia’s quest for access to sea, the implications of the victory of Adwa for national development among others, the president added.
According to Samuel, the discussion forums so far conducted contribute greatly to policy making and the overall national development of the country.
He explained that the university will continue to strengthen its endeavor with the objective to enhance its contribution for national development.
