Addis Ababa, August 22, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to the UK, Teferi Melesse met and discussed with members of the Ethiopian Somali community in the United Kingdom.
The meeting was graced by Ibrahim Osman Farah, Vice-President of the Somali Regional State, and Dr. Hussein Kasim, chief of cabinet and Head of the President’s Office in the Somali region.
On the occasion, Ambassador Teferi said the government of Ethiopia has embarked on various programs and reforms aimed at promoting inclusivity and creating an environment of equal opportunity for all Ethiopians.
The Ambassador also noted that the Somali Regional State has witnessed relative peace and development ever since a new leadership assumed power in the region.
Ambassador Teferi also reiterated the Embassy’s commitment to work closely with the Ethiopian Somali community in the United Kingdom and further called on them to redouble their contributions to the peace and development in Ethiopia.
