Addis Ababa, October 2, 2021 (FBC) – The Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples (SNNP) Regional Council has elected Ristu Yirdaw as a regional president.
Ristu Yirdaw was serving as a Deputy President before the new appointment by the council. Mrs. Fate Sermolo has been elected as speaker of the council.
During its founding conference, the SNNP Council approved restructuring of twenty five regional bureaus and appointments of heads of various institutions.
