Addis Ababa, June 14, 2021 (FBC) – Deputy Administrator of Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Region, Ristu Yirdaw together with the Minister of Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, Engineer Takele Uma and other high ranking officials has laid cornerstone for the construction of charcoal factory in Gurage Zone.
The factory to be built in Abeshge Woreda of Gurage Zone at a cost of 400 Million USD is said to have a capacity of processing 450,000 ton charcoal monthly.
It is expected that the factory will create employment opportunities for more than 1,500 citizens.
