Addis Ababa, November 7, 2024 (FBC) – President Julius Mada Bio of Sierra Leone and Prime Minister Amadou Ouri Bah of Guinea paid a visit to the the Headquarters of the Ethiopian Air Force. They were warmly received by Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa, Commander-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Air Force.
The visit was attended by Defense Minister Aisha Mohamed, Agriculture Minister Girma Amente, and other senior leaders of the Air Force. During the tour, the dignitaries observed the extensive reforms undertaken within the Ethiopian Air Force, which align with the government’s commitment to enhancing security and intelligence institutions.
The leaders learned about the various improvements made in personnel development, upgrade of weaponry, and the establishment of a more conducive working environment. These initiatives are part of a broader national reform initiative aimed at building an Ethiopian Air Force that will instill pride in future generations, it was stated during the visit.
