Sierra Leone and Guinea leaders tour development initiatives in Oromia Region

Addis Ababa, November 7, 2024 (FBC) – President Julius Mada Bio of Sierra Leone and Prime Minister Amadou Uri Bah of Guinea recently visited family-oriented development projects in the East Showa Zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia Region.

The delegation included Agriculture Minister Girma Amente (PhD) and Defense Minister Aisha Mohamed, among other senior government representatives.

During their tour, the leaders observed clustered development projects focused on avocado and papaya cultivation. They also inspected ongoing efforts in fruit farming and animal husbandry, which aim to bolster food security at the household level.

The officials highlighted Ethiopia’s commitment to achieving universal prosperity by enhancing food security and agricultural self-sufficiency for families.
