Addis Ababa, January 3, 2022 (FBC) – Ministry of Health stated that 26 health institutions including eight hospitals in Tigray region have restarted providing basic health services.
State Minister of Health, Dr. Ayele Teshome, exclusively told Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) that the health facilities have provided medical services to more than 83 thousand people in the past few days.
The Minister of State also stated that 225 metric tons of health supplies worth 200 million birr have been delivered to the health facilities of Tigray region jointly by the government and partners.
Dr. Ayele said that ambulances bought by partners will be sent to the region to solve the shortage of these vehicles.
The State Minister added that preparations are underway to put blood banks and oxygen production centers in the region into operation.
