Addis Ababa, November 14, 2022 (FBC) – Senior government officials said that every Ethiopian is expected to shoulder responsibility for the implementation of the peace accord.
Heads of federal institutions held a discussion regarding the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
According to Prosperity Party’s post on social media, the discussion of the senior government officials focused on the general preparations made by the Ethiopian government for the peace agreement, the core issues of the peace accord, the general implications of the agreement and issues that need further attention.
In the discussion, it was stated that the government’s continued readiness and commitment to peace and the preparations made for the success of the Pretoria Peace Accord were very impressive.
The senior government officials mentioned that the agreement will reverse the threat to Ethiopia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They are also adamant that it will end the conflict permanently and build lasting peace.
It was also stated that the agreement confirmed Ethiopia’s total victory.
The officials also noted that the peace accord was carried out in a way that affirms the position of “African solution to African problems” or the ideas of pan-Africanism, which Ethiopia is at the forefront of, and heralded the beginning of a new political culture and historical chapter for the nation.
They also insisted that the agreement sets clear direction to strengthen law and order in the country, and its implications are far greater.
However, as there are some disgruntled individuals that are not happy with the peace agreement, all stakeholders must play their part for the implementation and success of the peace agreement.
All government officials should work together to achieve the same victory in politics and development by continuing the successes achieved in frontline, diplomacy and the peace agreement process.
In their discussions, the senior government officials expressed their gratitude to the Ethiopian National Defense Forces who made unparalleled sacrifices to ensure the peace agreement a success, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for his highly wise leadership, and to all the parties involved in the peace talks process.
Senior government officials said that Ethiopia’s history is a testimony that hatred, revenge and conspiracy can never bear any benefit to the nation..
The officials emphasized that the peace agreement should not be compromised for the sake of national vision.
