Addis Ababa, December 1, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Refugees and Returnees Service and the World Bank Group (WBG) discuss ways of strengthening collaboration in the refugee operation in the country.
RRS Director General Tesfahun Gobezay and his Deputy Mulualem Desta hosted World Bank Group Director of Fragility, Conflict and Violence Soukeyna Kane and Country Director for Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan Ousmane Dione.
They reviewed the progress of WBG projects and ways of strengthening collaboration in humanitarian response and refugee development programs.
The DG acknowledged the WBG’s significant role in bringing development approaches to the protracted and challenged refugee operation.
The World Bank Group recently launched Refugee Integration and Self-Reliance Project in Ethiopia that benefits refugees and host communities.
