Addis Ababa, March 12, 2022 (FBC) – Vice President and Deputy Chairman of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Professor James Wani Igga said the long and historical ties between Ethiopian and South Sudan will remain solid in multifaceted areas of cooperation.
Speaking at opening ceremony of the First Congress of Prosperity Party on Friday, Professor James Wani Igga underscored that the independence of South Sudan would have not been realized without support of the government and people of Ethiopia.
He said that Ethiopians and South Sudanese share many things in common, adding that SMLM is ready to enhance the strong ties between the two nations in economic and other areas of cooperation.” We will never forget support of Ethiopians during our trying times. Therefore, we are committed to enhance partnership with Ethiopia,” he added.
The Chairperson said that Prosperity Party is working hard based on inclusive approach to speed up development endeavors, ensure democracy and peace and maintain unity and sovereignty of Ethiopia, he said, reiterating commitment of his party for enhanced cooperation with its Ethiopian counterpart.
