Prime Minister Abiy reviews progress of Logo Hayk project

Addis Ababa, June 29, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has reviewed the progress of the Logo Hayk project, one of the tourism destinations being developed under the premier’s “Dine for Nation” program, earlier today.

In a social media post, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that the Logo Hayk project aims to make the Wollo and surrounding areas a tourist destination. He noted that this project is being developed for future generations.

“We will work diligently to complete this project, which has already created employment opportunities for many,” the premier asserted.

During his travel to Dessie city in Amhara region this morning, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed visited the development projects being undertaken in the area. On the occasion, he met and held a discussion with local residents.

He also traveled 30km further north and launched this year’s Green Legacy planting cycle in the Hayk town, South Wollo Zone of Amhara region.

“By planting, we are not only greening the country but also energizing all sectors of the economy,” the premier noted on his social media page after launching the tree planting campaign in the area together with his ministerial delegation and local residents.

Last week, he confirmed this year’s total plan for this year’s planting cycle is to plant 7.5 billion tree seedlings across Ethiopia.
