Addis Ababa, May 8, 2024 (FBC) – This morning, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has arrived in Nekemte town, East Wollega zone of Oromia region, the Office of the Prime Minister said in a social media post.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives Mr Tagese Chafo, Speaker of House of Federation Mr. Agegnehu Teshager, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Temesgen Truneh, and chief administrator of the Oromia region Mr. Shimels Abdisa.
Upon arrival at the newly built Nekemte airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation received a warm community welcome.
It is learned that the Prime Minister is expected to attend the public rally which is being held at the Nekemte Stadium in support of the national reforms and the successes registered in the last six years under his government.
He is also expected to address the crowd, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts towards building a prosperous and inclusive society.
