Addis Ababa September 25/2021 (ENA) President Sahlework Zewde visited IDPs in Dessie town who fled their home due to the attack orchestrated by the terrorist TPLF in Amhara region.
According to the Mayor of the city, Abebe Gebremeskel more than 350,000 IDPs have been sheltered in Dessie.
The IDPs are displaced from various places of Amhara region due to the ongoing insurgencies by the terrorist group.
The President reiterated the government’s continued support to the IDPs and reinstate them once circumstances return to normalcy.
She also pledged to facilitate all the necessary support to Dessie hospital and equip the facility with much needed equipment and technologies, calling partners to assist governments efforts to address grave humanitarian situation in northen parts of the country.
