Addis Ababa, September 01, 2022 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has hailed the “Ethiopian Mothers Call for Peace in Ethiopia” for its unreserved efforts to ensure lasting peace in the country.
“Ethiopian Mothers Call for Peace” constitutes long serving women from different institutions and religions, and it is working to find a solution for the lack of peace in Ethiopia.
President Sahle-Work said that they should be thanked and supported because they have come together to contribute to the peace and development of the country.
“Women should be part of the solution to lingering problems, reversing the situation that they are mostly victims of conflicts in the country,” the President underscored.
She further denounced the atrocities committed by anti-peace elements on innocent civilians, calling militants to adhere to the continued call for peace.
The President underlined that every section of the society should do their part in the same manner.
