Addis Ababa, December 31, 2019 (FBC) – President Sahle Work Zewde received yesterday renowned Actress, Film maker and Humanitarian Angelina Jolie.
During the discussion held at the National Palace, Angelina, who arrived in Addis Ababa last Sunday, shared her thoughts on development, refugees and women issues.
Angelina said she was in Ethiopia to discuss refugees and to explore the opportunities to work on women and children.
President Sahle-Work said the visit is timely and important as Ethiopia is going through an amazing transformation heralding a new chapter in all spheres.
“Your coming to Addis Abeba will definitely contribute in changing the narrative not only about Ethiopia but also Africa,” the President noted
Angelina is in Ethiopia to a private trip with her children including the Ethiopian born Zahara, according to office of the President.
