Addis Ababa, July 25, 2024 (FBC) – President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, expressed deepest condolences to President Sahle-Work Zewde and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed over the deadly landslides in Gofa Zone of the South Ethiopia Regional State that killed 257 people.
“Mrs. President, Dear Mr. Prime Minister, Please accept my deepest condolences in connection with the tragedic consequences of landslides in the South of your country,” Putin remarked.
“Please convey words of sincere sympathy and support to the families of victims as well as wishes for a quick recovery to all injured,” Putin said in his message of condolences.
