Addis Ababa, May 05, 2020 (FBC) – The Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki has returned to Asmara today concluding his three-day official visit to Ethiopia.
The Eritrean Information Minister Yemane Gebremeskel tweeted that “President Isaias Afwerki returned home in mid-morning hours today after a fruitful working visit to Ethiopia which was marked by extensive talks on enhancement of bilateral ties, regional issues of mutual importance & site visits to developmental projects in Oromia Regional State”
During the visit, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed and President Isaias held extensive discussions on issues of bilateral ties, regional matters, fight against COVId-19 and locust infestation, among others, he added.
Ethiopia and Eritrea signed a friendship and peace agreement in Asmara on 9 July 2018 putting an end to the two decades hostility between them.
